Here is the sketch we were given:
The base card is Not Quite Navy (4 1/4" x 11"...scored in half)
The patterned paper comes from the Level 1 Patterns paper selection. It is Brocade Blue (a color that I don't use as often as I should).
For this project I used my Forest Friends stamp set (from the Occasions Mini Catalog...which ends on June 30th).
I used my markers to color the tree.....Close to Cocoa for the trunk and branches......Certainly Celery for the leaves with a bit of thumping using Always Artichoke here and there to make it look more realistic. I then huffed on the stamp to remoisten the ink and stamped on some Whisper White cardstock.
For the grass I tore a piece of Certainly Celery and adhered over the bottom of the tree. I then sponged the sky lightly with some Bashful Blue ink.
The focal image is matted on a 1/8" larger piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.
In following the sketch, there are two strips of cardstock under the focal image.
The vertical strip is Barely Banana that has been swiped with my Barely Banana ink pad.
The Certainly Celery strip has been given a scalloped edge using the Scallop Edge punch.
The bunny is stamped using Basic Brown ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Using an aquapainter and the lids of my ink pads, I colored in the belly (with Creamy Caramel) and the ears (Pretty in Pink). I punched him out with the 1 3/8" circle punch and then matted on a piece of Barely Banana punched with the Scallop Circle punch.
The final embellishment to tie it all together is a simple knot made with Brocade Blue wide grosgrain ribbon.
I did not add a sentiment to this card....I will wait until the occasion arises and then that will go on the inside as there is enough going on already!!! LOL!!!
I hope you check out the Stamping 411. We are here to help stampers of all levels with their stamping needs. Check us out for tutorials, sketch challenges, etc...
I hope you will make a card using this week's sketch and use Mr. Linky on the Stamping 411 site so we can all see it!!!
