This week's Blogger's Challenge is to use punches or die cuts. I am such an overachiever......I used both!!!! LOL!!!
It all started with a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I cut a piece of the uber-sparkly Sending Notes Specialty DSP to 4" x 5 1/4". I adhered it to the base card.
Now it's time to run it through the Big Shot with my Movers & Shapers die to cut the heart through the top layer (both the patterned paper and the base card). When you run it through this die, it scores the card for you too. Bonus!!!!
I stamped the heart image onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Real Red ink. This wonderful stamp comes from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. Stampin' Up! is donating $2 from each I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. The money will be donated to the American Red Cross to help those in Haiti who have suffered from the devastation of the earthquake.
This particular image coordinates with the Full Heart Punch. There are two other images that coordinate with other heart punches too!
To frame this heart, I ran a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock through the Big Shot and the Heart of Hearts embosslit. Embosslits are unique in that they cut and emboss all at the same time. The embosslit was designed to mat the Full Heart punch.
I then cut a strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock. I used the Scallop Edge punch along the top edge. I wrapped some of the new Real Red Satin ribbon and tied it into a classic knot. To add a little more drama to the ribbon, I cut the legs off one of the Real Red Sending Love Epoxy Brads. All you need is a glue dot to make it stick to your ribbon. Oooohhhh la la!!!
Well, that's about it on my Valentine card. It's on the simple side, but I really like it!!!
If you've fallen in love with the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set like I have, please consider purchasing it before February 28th. From now until Feb 28th is when Stampin' Up! will donate the money to the American Red Cross. Together, we can make a difference!!!

This is such a great project and I love how you used the DSP. I've got to start using this die -- I always love the results when you ladies post what you've done with them -- to me, it's a WOW!
