I still find myself reminiscing about this year's Leadership Conference.  I had such a fabulous time learning how to build my business, how to use the latest products and best of all, seeing all my demonstrator friends!  

On the last night of the conference, all demonstrators in attendance were invited to the Gathering Place for a night of make-n-takes.  In year's past, the make-n-takes were just "okay".  This year, Stampin' Up! promised us BIG changes.   Let me tell you, they were not kidding!!

Today, I am showing you the first insert.  I think monogrammed items are so beautiful.  It's made especially for one person..........how special they will feel when they receive it!  Can you see the touches of fabric?  Love it!!!

The other two inserts are equally as beautiful.  I will share those with you during the week.

A Gift to Myself

For Mother's Day, my wonderful in-laws sent me some money for me to spend on myself.  Dennis will tell you, I am not one to spend money on myself.  I'd rather buy something for the kids or the house.

This time I decided to buy something for myself.  I've been intrigued by all the Simply Adorned pieces I see on other people's blogs.  So, I bit the bullet and ordered the 1" x 1 1/4" charm and the 24" chain.

Since it was a gift to myself, I made the packaging it comes in all pretty too!

I stamped the bottom right corner of the gift box with the flourish from Elements of Style using Chocolate Chip ink.

I added a So Saffron butterfly cut with my Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings embosslit. 

The finishing touch is a length of Old Olive Satin Ribbon tied into a big 'ol bow.

When you open the box, here is the necklace I made for myself:

For the chain, I was inspired by Tiffany Bauer's necklace she made for her mom.  She wove some taffeta ribbon (I used Very Vanilla) in the links to create a vintage beauty.  Thanks Tiff!

For my necklace insert, I cut a piece of patterned paper (from the retired Autumn Meadows dsp pack).  I used the same large flourish used on the gift box.  I also added a smaller So Saffron butterfly.

I just love it!!!  I can't wait to make more inserts for my new necklace.
