Isn't this SO CUTE? The idea for this project popped into my head while I was driving my son to his Taekwondo tournament in Sioux Falls, SD. Heck, ya gotta do something during the 3 hour and 45 minute drive that reeked of cow manure and mile after mile of corn fields. Ugh!!!
Anyway, this purse is a cinch to make. It starts with a basic 2-5-7-10 box. I cut the top back a little and added a die cut (folded in half) using my Top Note die and my Big Shot.
Prior to assembling my box, I wheeled it with my So Swirly jumbo wheel using Close to Cocoa ink (same color as the cardstock). I assembled the box (make sure you use a strong adhesive like Sticky Strip or it will fall apart).
I used my Cropodile to punch the holes for the Pink Taffeta ribbon purse handle.
I also used the Pink Taffeta ribbon to adorn the bottom of the box.
The finishing touch was the addition of the Pink Piroutte and Chocolate Chip felt flowers from the Flower Fusion Too collection. I placed a clear rhinestone brad in the center (from the Pretties Kit) to hold it all together.
I think this purse would be perfect to hold a piece of jewelry or a gift card to a favorite store. Sometimes I think the packaging is more important than the gift. My kids would definitely disagree with that statement!!!!
If you would like a full tutorial, leave me a comment or send me an email. I would be happy to put one together!!!!
Until tomorrow....Happy Stamping everyone!!!
