It's Friday.....woo hoo! It's been a LONG week. I can't wait for a weekend....just to veg with the family!!!
Friday also means another Blogger's Challenge. This week's challenge was to use punches and/or dies on a project. So.....I used both!!! This project was one of the projects the girls made at Stamp Club last night. They adored this!!!!! I love when I make them happy!!!
This little drink carrier box (not sure who made the first one....so if it's you, let me know and I will give you proper credit) is made with two Box #2 die cuts. The trick is to not score the box top, cut off the little top flaps and adhere the two boxes with Sticky Strip. Cover the front and side panels with patterned paper to hide the seams (1 3/4" x 2 1/2" and 1 3/4" x 3 1/2").
I used the Wide Oval Punch to punch the handle, but you could substitute any punch your little heart desires.
The front of the box is adorned with an ornament (from Delightful Decorations...coming September 1st). The ornament is inked with Old Olive Craft ink, stamped on Old Olive cardstock, sprinkled with Clear embossing powder and heated. Now here's the exciting part......you don't have to cut this out by hand. You guessed it....there is a coordinating punch. Oh yeah!!! This is THE "go to" set to make lots of Christmas cards.....fast!!!!
The ornament has a gold elastic cord bow (yup...it's back in the Holiday Mini) adhered to the top using a mini glue dot.
Now......would you like to see what goes in this box?
Lots of gift tags!!!! These tags were stamped using (Certainly Celery, Real Red and Garden Green ink) on Whisper White cardstock. I punched the images with that new punch......yes....it's awesome!!! I used my Cropodile to add a gold eyelet to the next of each ornament. Then I used that elastic gold cord again.
Easy peasy!!!!!
Remember, these products will be available to order from Stampin' Up! on September 1st. If you do not have a demonstrator and would like a Holiday Mini mailed to you, just send me an email. I would love to be your demonstrator.
I can't wait to see how my Blogger's Challenge sisters have used their dies and punches. To check them out, click on the Blogger's Challenge icon on the right sidebar of my blog.
