Thank goodness it's the weekend. I don't know if it's because of that big honkin' full moon we've got out there, but every day this week has felt like a Monday!! Did you know that some scientist did research to determine if the full moon affects behavior? If you asked me this week, I swear it does!!!
This week's sketch is pretty straight forward. It's going to be one of those "go to" sketches!!!
In accordance with my "week of Mondays", I couldn't get this card to photograph right. It is so sparkly and vibrant in real life.
I kept this card pretty simple as it's a valentine for my honey!!! I would SO marry him all over again!!! To quote Juno....."he's the cheese to my macaroni".
The base card is Pumpkin Pie.
The gorgeous patterned paper comes from the Sweet Pea DSP pack. This bound paper pack has so many fabulous papers in there...it was so hard to pick just one! I matted it onto a 1/8" larger piece of Whisper White cardstock.
The next layer is a 1 1/2" x 3 7/8" strip of Whisper White cardstock. I punched the bottom edge with the Scallop Edge punch. I adhered it onto my card and then added a 5/8" silver brad. On top of the brad I glued on a small heart punched with the Heart to Heart punch using a scrap of Bermuda Bay cardstock. The Tombow Liquid Glue works perfect for gluing this on.
For the focal image, I used my Like-o-Meter stamp. It's one of the under $10 stamps in the back of the Occasions Mini. It was the first stamp I ordered from the Occasions Mini. I stamped it with Black StazOn ink on Whisper White cardstock. I colored in the Like-o-mater with my Bermuda Bay marker. I then used some Crystal Effects and sprinkled a bit of Dazzling Diamonds. Ooooooooohhhhhhh.......so sparkly!!!!
The edges of the focal image are sponged with some Pumpkin Pie ink. It's then matted on a 1/8" larger piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Before gluing onto my card, I added a Bermuda Bay photo corner just to balance it all out!!!
It's a simple, non-poofy-foo-foo card.......perfect for your "manly man"!!!!
Would you like to give this sketch a whirl? If you choose to take the challenge, be sure to link it up to the Stamping 411 blog so we can all "oooohhhh" and "aaaahhhh" over your creation!!!!!
Until next time....Happy Stamping everyone!!!
What a darling card Patti! I'm sure your Man is going to love it!! Ooops!! I mane the cheese to your macaroni!!!

Patti,
I love this card...the colors, the sketch and the glitter. What a great idea with the brad and adhering a heart on top ( it looked like you purchased it that way).
Have a great day!
