I am pre-posting this challenge as I am in Phoenix attending Stampin' Up's Leadership Conference and the regional meeting. I am sure I am having a FABULOUS time.
This week's sketch was SO much easier than last week's sketch. Selene didn't want to stress us all out before we headed out to Phoenix.
Here's my card......
I know it's kinda early for an Easter card, but I couldn't resist showing you this chocolate bunny. He's one of the under $10 stamps in the new Occasions Mini catalog.
I also decided to use last week's Stamping 411 Color Inspiration (#104) for my color scheme.
Here's how I made it:
1. The Apricot Appeal base card (5 1/2" x 11 1/2) is folded in half.
2. The next layer is Rose Red. I used my Big Shot and the Perfect Details Texturz Plate to give a bit of texture to the cardstock.
3. The 1" x 5 1/4" Whisper White strip has the bottom edge punched with the Scallop Edge punch.
4. The Certainly Celery layer measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/4". I stamped the word "happy" (from the Happy Everything stamp set) using Versamark ink and then sprinkled it with White embossing powder. I then stamped my favorite large flourish from Baroque Motifs using Certainly Celery ink. I also sponged the edges with Certainly Celery ink.
5. The Certainly Celery layer is matted on a 1/8" larger piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.
6. The bunny is inked with Chocolate Chip Craft ink on Close to Cocoa cardstock. I sprinkled it with Clear embossing powder and heated until melted. I cut it out and popped it up with some dimensionals.
The bunny is all shiny and really looks like chocolate. I'm sure it doesn't taste like chocolate though....LOL!!!!
Are you ready to try our sketch? We hope so!!!! If you make a project using this sketch, be sure to link it to the Stamping 411 blog using Mr.Linky. We'd love to see it!!!!
Until next time....Happy Stamping everyone!!!!
Love it, Patti! I'm seeing that bunny all over the place and may need to break down and get him! I love the color combination that you used for this! Great inspiration -- thanks -- blessings, Gretchen
