Here is another classic sketch that you will use over and over again.
I tweaked it a little bit to show you some changes that you may want to consider. I made a square card with it.
This card all started out with the patterned paper. It's a lovely striped patterned paper, and it's from the Sweet Pea dsp pack. It has lots of color in it......so I just pulled out some of my favorites and started putting my card together.
The base card is Chocolate Chip. It measures 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" (then folded in half).
I stamped the large flourish (from Baroque Motifs) in the bottom left corner using Chocolate Chip ink.
The strip of patterned paper comes next. It's top and bottom edge are also sponged with Chocolate Chip ink. Following the sketch, I added some Pumpkin Pie 1/4" grosgrain ribbon along the right edge.
The focal image (from Vintage Vogue) is stamped on Barely Banana cardstock (measuring 2" x 2 1/4"). I distressed the edges with the Cutter Kit Tool, sponged the edges and spritzed with my Color Spritzer Tool and Chocolate Chip marker. In the bottom right corner I added a flower that was inked in Pumpkin Pie ink, rolled in Close to Cocoa ink and cut out. I added a Circle Ice Rhinestone brad in the center. It looks so pretty with the mat color.
The focal image is matted on a 1/8" piece of Taken with Teal cardstock (also distressed with the Cutter Kit Tool).
I love when a card comes together so quickly. It's so stinking pretty........no one ever has to know that it only took a few minutes to make!!!
I hope I have inspired you to make a card using this incredible sketch. If you decide to take the sketch challenge, make sure to link it to the Stamping 411 blog so we all can take a peek. You never know....the operators might choose to showcase your card on the following Friday. It's always fun seeing your card in lights (well, technically not lights, but you know what I mean).
Until next time....Happy Stamping everyone!!!

Oh Patti!! This is so pretty. The colors and the feel of it are soft and bold at the same time. How do you do that? You really did a wonderful job.
