Spring........isn't that a lovely word? The weather here has been delightful.....it was in the 60's here yesterday. Today it's supposed to be in the 40s and possibly snow.....but let's not talk about that!!!
Spring makes me think of several things
- the fat robins arriving on the front lawn looking for worms
- daffodils, crocuses and tulips poking from out of the ground
- bathing suit catalogs arriving in the mail daily
- Patti in a panic because the bathing suit catalogs are here and she ate too many Girl Scout cookies
I pulled my color inspiration from one of the bathing suit catalogs I've recently received. I chose Basic Black (don'tcha think it makes my card look thinner? LOL), Cameo Coral, Gable Green and Tempting Turquoise.
Now, you really ought to be proud of me because I used a stamp set I haven't touched in years!!! It's called Simply Said. I always mean to use it, but it just kinda gets looked over all the time.
I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White embossing powder and heated til melted. I sponged the edges with Tempting Turquoise ink and added a tiny rhinestone (from the Eggcellent Eggs kit) to the center of each flower.
The rest of the card is pretty self-explanatory. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment, and I will mail you back!!
All of the items used on this project are available through Stampin' Up!

Well, I don't like thinking about fat robins, but your card is so pretty! Love the embossing and the blingy centers! Just super!
Now, step away from the cookies, gf! If I can't eat them, neither can you! :)

Pretty, pretty card (and it does look thinner with black, lol!) Great stamp set, but the bling on the flowers makes it better!

Yes, your card looks thinner, lol!! I'll have to remember that next time my card looks, well, not thin! :) Love the bright spring-y colors and all the details. Yes, love that set and don't use it much anymore but it's great!
