Guess who came to my house today? That's right.....my favorite UPS man......who happened to have in his possession a box full of Holiday Mini pre-order goodies!
Now, I behaved quite nicely this afternoon......taking out each item one by one......marking it off the box content list....and checking it out thoroughly (there might've been a bit of hugging going on too, but let's not go there).
Of course, my first project HAD to be Halloween themed. If you are new to my blog, you need to know something! The Chesky's are complete Halloween addicts. Dennis is already counting down the days until we set up our Department 56 Halloween village display. It really is quite spooktacular!
Anyway, there's lots of new on this card. These items will be available for purchase starting September 1st. Demonstrators are lucky that they can preorder these items a month ahead of time. Makes you want to join my team, huh? Imagine playing with all these goodies before the general public. It just makes me giddy with excitement!!!!
I am loving this new Spider Web embossing folder. It becomes even more spooktacular when you rub an ink pad across it.
I created the tag using the Two Tags Bigz die. I used the Direct-to-Paper technique and distressed the edges to grunge it up a bit.
I added a strip of adhesive and gathered some Black Waffle Paper making sure to press the gathers into the adhesive. The waffle paper is quite cool. It's thicker than tissue paper, but it's also quite pliable. I look forward to playing with it some more!
On the top edge of the Waffle Paper, I added a length of Black Raven Lace. Ooooohhhh...this stuff is soft and pretty!
The stamp is called Midnight Raven. It's an a la carte stamp....which means it's a single stamp. Love the style of this one!!! It's inked with Basic Black ink and stamped onto Daffodil Delight cardstock. I sponged the edges with Basic Gray ink, spritzed some Basic Gray marker using my Color Spritzer Tool and distressed the edges. It's matted on Basic Gray cardstock.
See the awesome brad? It's glittery and SO COOL! They're called Glimmer Brads, and they are definitely "ooooohhhh and ahhhhhhhh" worthy!
The finishing touch is some Silver Foil Smooch Spritz......oh so vintage! It added just what this card needed! Love it!!!
I can't wait for you to see the Holiday Mini catalog. If you've purchased from me over the past year, you will be getting one in your mailbox. If you do not have a demonstrator and would like a copy of your very own, send me an email. I will be more than happy to mail you one. While you're at it, join my mailing list too! It's the best way to stay "inkspired". The sign up is in the upper right sidebar of my blog.
Oh well.......I'm off to make a Christmas card using a super cute stamp set I am uber-excited about!
Until next time.....Happy Stamping everyone!
The picture doesn't do this card justice! It is scary good!

OMGosh! This is fabulous! I love it! I can't wait to order from the mini! (My kiddos seem to want some school clothes first...the nerve! My pre-order will have to wait until next week. LOL) I am looking forward to more of your Halloween creativity!
Hugs!

Patti! I LOVE this! I think you and I share the same love of gothic Halloween. I snapped up this raven right away. I love what you have done here. The pad-to-paper technique is GENIUS! I already tried it with the web folder and it's so grungy and cool. LOVE the tag used as and un-tag with the glimmer brad...OMG. I could go on and on and obviously already have! This is just STELLAR! Thanks for sharing.
