I was cleaning my desk the other day, and you know what that means! Yup, find scraps of cardstock, avoid the cleaning process and make an even bigger mess! ha ha
Well, the desk finally did get clean but not until after I made this fun little card!
At Convention we were given the Best Friends Forever stamp set. The name makes it sound all teenager-ish, but it's not. It has gorgeous flourishes and swirls......something appropriate to give to your adult BFF.
This stamp set rocks because I can layer the elements without it looking too busy. I even added the Netting Background stamp to add an extra even more shabby chicness to this card!
Did you notice how the netting is only on certain parts of the image? Here's how to do that:
1. place your background stamp face up on the table
2. ink up your Netting background stamp with Chocolate Chip ink
3. place your cardstock on top of the background stamp
4. cover with some grid paper or printer/copy paper
5. dance your fingers over the image to only transfer a bit of the background stamp image
If you love vintage/shabby chic cards, I encourage you to try this technique with your stamps. It's a fun twist on stamping, and the end result is so beautiful!
Do you need Stampin' Up! supplies? Well, I can sure help you with that! It's so easy to place an online order for everything you need through my ONLINE STORE. While you are there, I encourage you to check out the Clearance Rack and the "Buy 3, Get 1 Free Designer Series Paper" special!
