For this week's Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge card I am going to channel my friend and fellow Stamping 411 operator, Lee Conrey.
Lee's style is crisp and clean. It usually involves Whisper White which just lends itself to crisp and clean, right?
Here's my "Lee" card........
My base card is Cherry Cobbler. It's a square card. It measures 5 1/4" x 10 1/2", folded in half.
Layer #2 is Whisper White, and it measures 5" square. I stamped the Hello, Doily background stamp using Versamark ink. I then sprinkled on some yummy Cherry Cobbler embossing powder and heated 'til melted.
Before working on the rest of the card, I poked a hole in the center of the doily and threaded some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding through the hole and tied it into a pretty bow.
My sentiment comes from the hostess set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I inked it up with Chocolate Chip ink because we all know how wonderful chocolate and cherries go together. It's stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and punched with the 2 1/2" circle punch. I sponged the edges to soften the look!
All that's left is the addition of pearls.
So, what do you think of my "Lee" card? I hope I made her proud!!!!

As simple as the color scheme of this card is, it's still so rich looking!

Patti -- love, love, love this card. the sponging on the punched circle makes it almost look like it has a dome shape -- it's a great effect and a beautiful card. Love that you used Hello Doily for the background! Blessings, Gretchen
